I am trying to work out how long it would take to eat your own body weight.

in general between 2500 and 3000 calories , especially if you eat at fast foods a lot.

I can't tell you how much an average 30 year old male eats daily. To many variables; what country does he live in, what is his height and present weight?, what does he do for a living. All of these are questions that have a bearing on the amount of food he may consume.

But I can say according to United Nations department of world nutrition that the average 30 year old man should consume between 1500 and 2500 calories per day depended on the above listed factors.

Everybody is different. What you eat is sufficient for you and what other men eat is sufficient for them. Your body has a way of telling you if you are not getting enough or if you are having too much. 3 good, healthy meals are normally all a grown man or woman needs to eat, but that doesn't stop us from feeling peckish at other time of the day. We all need to limit our treats and then we can all control our weight better.

That range is very wide. The size and body type of the individual must be taken into consideration. I would also imagine that for the same type of person, an American consumes more than say an Indian. But all things considered, I would say about 2,000 to 2,500calories sounds right.

An average american male eats 6000 to 10,000 per day, hence the extremely high percentage on obese and morbidly obese americans

Toast for breakfast/ or cerial
Ham salad sandwich and a piece of fruit.
curry for dinner

Im 30 i love food, and exercise a few times a week , and would consider myself healthy.

2500 calories a day for a male
2000 calories a day for a female
