Get one of those balls for him to run around the house in like hamsters have. They make them for guinea pigs, they would love it. Give him treats every day, take him out, pet him, and hold him. Give them a good life!

build a play area with lots of tubes (can be cardboard), boxes to hide in, fresh hay and low level ramps to run up.
Cavies like to chill with their owners by sitting and being petted. They don't tend to be super active but they do like exploring if they feel safe.
Watch your clothes tho, when just holding a pig because they might chew holes in them or nibble on some skin.
Mostly what pigs like to do....is do what pigs do best.......eat. Get a big bale of timothy hay from the feed store and give them a box full of it to rummage in.
I keep my hay for my prairie dogs in a large lidded trash can to keep it fresh.
I have had pigs before, but they are labor intensive when it comes to cleaning so I placed my last two with a woman who runs a daycare in her home. The two girl piggies like to sit with the children during story time and they are cuddled and scritched. Apparently they don't miss me at all. ;-)
The reason I recommend getting a bale of hay from the feed store is for cost and freshness, but it has to be stored outside in an enclosed can. If you get the stuff from the pet store because of space consideration or what-not, it should be fine kept inside in a plastic bag.
Oh, I forgot...don't get one of those wheels or plastic balls. Guinea pigs don't really like them and you would be wasting your money.

My guinea pig likes to pretend that she is a cat, she completely ignores me unless it is feeding time. If you can find some kind peace with yours, good luck. . .

This was originally for hamsters, but I see no reason that it wouldn't work on a Guinea pig. (See link below.)

I had to babysit one once:
I would take it out in the yard with a towel and let it eat grass...but I let my guard down it would run away...It loved to eat the grass but when I picked it up it would kick its legs and scratch me (one of the reason I had a towel.
If it runs away, you'll be in for a chase...but I think It was a nice thing to do with the pig...

you could buy a guinea pig ball for them to roll around the house or in the yard. You could also let them run free in your room but watch where you step. When you are ready to put them back into their cage(s) just place a carrot, celery stalk or lettuce out and they will come running. As long as it is food they can smell they will come out of hiding
