It´s kind of strange, they have one of the western world worst social health care programs, they dont care about global care, they dont care about what UN says, they invaded Iraq, for no reason (other than oil) if they care so much about democracy, why not help loads of african countries? (they got no oil) and they say the troups keep their freedom, lots of places, people have to have a loaded gun in the house to defend themself... where is the superior freedom in that? How can they belive in that crap??

(NB, this is not for ALL americans, but the rednecks)

If the Iraq invasion was about oil then why has not one drop been pumped since the war started? The US does help loads of African countries. The US gives African countries more economic aid than every other country put together. Egypt for example has been receiving 2.2 billion dollars per year since 1979. Do the math. Not everyone has a loaded gun but we do have the right to have one, it is a personal choice.

I'm a redneck and proud of it. If we don't care about "global care", why are we the first country to come to the aid of the world?? We believe in FREEDOM and the fact that we did invade Iraq was for a very good reason, we hate terrorism!!! And yes, I have a gun in my home but not to defend myself, I like to hunt wild game. Thank you very much! Oh, I don't know where you have been but we do send aid to African Countries.

I believe in America, but it has been watered down over the past 30 years at an amazing rate...don't be surprised to see weirder things to come than what are now...I assume that most Americans want to do what's right, to take care of themselves but the gov. isn't giving that option...I also believe that situation will fester beyond the point of apathy and resolve itself, you know, once the basic needs are no longer available...A good example was last years hurricanes...most people are about three days of food away from reverting back to survival mode...scary thought.

Not all Americans are proud these days. Not so much the rednecks, my dear, but the whole political boiling pot which is running on misguided information and for profits (oil is one of them). Healthcare does not bother them, they can go the best hospitals. They do not care about the elderly they all have enormous pensions. They (all politicians) have lost sight of the regular guy and gal on the street and their needs. Proud of war? No I am not. Thinking we have the best democracy , think again.

First we are superior in the fact we know are way of life is flawed.
Second how many of the african nations that you refer to are willing to fight for their freedoms. Our nations fore fathers fought and died for America, and to preserve their honor we will protect what they started. As far as the U.N. we started it, and where is it located? Who pays a lot of support for it? People have to keep a loaded gun for protection? Well right to bear arms is a constitutional right for all Americans, but I don't know anyone that keeps a loaded firearm in their house. Thats crazy a kid could find it and who knows what would happen. I'll be the first to criticize my government, and call them crooks. But if you don't like America then obviously you don't live here.

It's all about arrogance. Americans think they are right because like most people, they don't want to be wrong. I was a US Soldier for 10 years, and I'd have to say that I agree with what you just said. It's not all Americans. Its just a part of the culture.

just live here.....you'd see why we're the greatest country in the world.........I work, I have all the healthcare I need. We care as much as you do about "global care" We wish the UN was more supportive. We are helping the African nation by reducing their debt. Oil had NOTHING to do with invading Iraq!! AND I HAVE NO GUN IN MY HOME....................KNOW OF WHAT YOU SPEAK, BEFORE YOU SPEAK IT!

As a general concept, it's quite true... not all Americans think themselves as superior or superb though.
