I'm not sure about that...but my husband has been on the Atkins diet for about a month and a half and has lost 11 pounds so far. My husband likes the diet because you just watch your carbohydrates and you are never hungry. Go take a look at their website.

Well in that movie Showgirl. Food to eat was always Brown Rice and Veggies. Drink water not pop! Stay away from the diet brand pop too!
If you really need meat. Lean trim. Like 85% meat 15% fat. Read the meat label. Go with chicken. Do not deep fry any food. Eat bake/boiled/broiled.

Eat only fresh fruit in the mornings as for breakfast, the fruits is what helps clean our bodies, you can drink juice if you want but only fresh home made juice ( Not from a can or bottle) Around lunch time you'll want to eat above ground veggies like corn, peas and green beans. Those kind of veggies. These are what gives us energy during the day. Please nothing from a can. They won't do u any good at all.
Supper time you'll want to eat those veggies grown below ground like carrots and potatos. Here's the catch The only thing you can cook is the potatos and I would suggest slowly baking those, Everything needs to be eaten raw. The heat in cooking kills the things we need to make us healthy. Nothing processed at all is allowed you'll be defeting the purpose. only clean water to drink ( no tap water , thats some nasty stuff ) no coffee no tea no beer or whiskey no soft drink of any kind.. Abosolutley nothing that is processed and at your best don't cook any of it. at least if you have to cook it cook at extreamly low heat and not for any lenght of time. Oh you can have peanuts almonds ectt... raw no salt sorry no salt or butter to any foods either.
Your trying to remove the toxins and you will lose wieght. when the body rids itself of all the toxins you should gain a little back to where you are suppose to be.

There are various ways to go about weight-loss, from strict calorie-counting to watching carbs and glucose content, but eventually, even if you're doing a low-carb thing, the bottom line does revolve around calories in = calories out. The reason that eating veggies is helpful in a weight-loss diet is that they pack more bang for the buck, so to speak. With leafy green veggies, you're getting most of the nutrients your body needs, and getting full, with a very small fraction of the calories that other foods provide. So you're going to have to include them. Cut down on sugar but you don't need to cut it out completely. Fats should be kept under 60 grams a day, way under, and try and replace "bad" fats like fats from dairy and transfats with olive oil and flax oil. Excercise burns calories and therfore allows you to eat more. Every body is different, but you could try cutting down on (or cutting out) breads, which are pretty empty calories and full of carbs.

The best way to lose weight is to control the amount of food that goes in your mouth. Increase your level of exercise. Go to the library and read a book on a diabetic diet ADA and that will help you not only lose weight but eat sensibly.

Hi
Yes ,provided you know the portions to eat ,hence try following this plan it really worked for me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
good luck

everyone's body responds to foods differently. Eating lots of fruit actually makes me gain weight because of all the sugar. For example, I went to a nutritionist before and they told me if I wanted to eat grapes I could only have 10. Try it for a week, weigh yourself everyday, and see how it works. Whatever you do, drink lots of water and exercise.

You can eat as much veggies as you want. use them as snacks.
Fruits are good for you too, but try to limit those a little as they have natural sugar in them. As for meat. Chicken, pork are good. If you don't like those try eating some fish.
As for red meat, eat in limited amounts.

What he/she meant was;
eat well (don't starve) but not super-sizes and exercise well also.
Do that and you will be just fine.
Fruit make great snacks which you could eat regularly to get your mind off food and still be eating healthy.
Good luck!
