Electrician

Pros: you will have work from repair to new buildings, it will be constant work in bigger cities, and you will only have to learn things once or twice; and the rest of the job will be quiet easy. Availability to get into advanced education for planning or engineering isntead of just installing.

Cons: unless you get in with a union or a company that trains and then hires, you may go with months were you work and months were you don't. Smaller cities don't have that much use for you.

Mechanic:

Pros: can get a job just about everywhere, easier to start your own shop when you get older, or franchise one than electrician, constantly work on different issues and different things.

Cons: jobs don't pay as much as electricians at the start, you constantly have to keep training to work on new or different cars, it's difficult to mvoe from a car mechanic to any other position in the future

good luck

Becoming an auto mechanic will allow you to practice both, mechanic and electrician,(electrical), as so much of an automobile's operation depends on the electrical aspect. I understand that a verrry high percentage of an automobile's problems are electrical in comparison to mechanical.
