I've not used the over the counter bottles, but I have went and got the spray tan at the tanning salon. I was very dissapointed with it. They told me not to take a shower for 8 hours. I waited until the next morning and 90% of it came off. Supposidly the Mystic Spray Tan is the best, but I've also heard that the Neutrogena stuff over the counter is good. Good luck!

You can't beat the St Tropez range. It is a bit pricey, but it is worth it. Don't forget to exfoliate and moisturise your skin first, or any false tan will turn streaky. Pay particular attention to the drier areas, e.g. elbows, knees, heels when moisturising, and treat these areas sparsely with self tan. I have tried the spray type, but still prefer a coloured creamy type that you rub on so you can see where you are putting it. Use a tanning mitt to avoid brown palms, and don't forget to wash your hands afterwards.

I use St. Tropez mousse, I love it. It doesn't have "that smell" that all sunless tanners seem to have. But if you use get the tan remover cleanser for your hands, you will need trust me!!!

fake bake is really good. Sally's beauty suppply sells it. you put it on your bod at night, let it dry then go to bed. It won't rub off on your sheets I swear! then shower and a nice brown glow stays for a few days, jsut reapply whenever. I use nuetragena on my face and neck for a tan glow during the winter. Fake bake is less orangey though... I am going to try spray tan soon at a Spa!
