good point. i've never said that i'm proud of my race, or my heritage, or my name. the thought never occurred to me. but i have wondered why some make such an issue of it.

Youare right. Good question. I just think in the autumn of my years to have pride in what little I may have accomplished, like having decent children, and trying not to hurt anyone. This is what I think about if we have to use the word "pride". On the forms where they indicate what race you are I write in "human race". It gets a lot of bureaucrats upset with me.

No, obviously no one is able to choose that, but be proud of who you are. If one sees things in their race that they are proud of, who are we to tell them they can't think that.

good point.....but i guess some people were made to feel ashamed of "belonging" to a their race....so to counter that they said they are proud....
