www.play.com

Cheap, fast and very reliable.

I have always used Play.com, never had a single bit of bother and if there is a problem the customer service is very good...

I sometimes bag a bargain on Amazon but i'd recommend taking a look at the sellers ratings if not buying directly from Amazon. Also look where they are sending from... overseas shipping can take forever and postage can be pricey.

Play.com are very good, and don't charge extra for Postage (unlike amazon) but the cheapest I've found is cdjungle. They don't have the widest range, but they're always the cheapest.

Of course the very cheapest (which I often do) is to buy second hand ones from ebay. They've all been in very good condition and for less than a pound (not including postage).
Don't buy fakes off ebay though, they're bad.

Amazon is top dog for customer service, but not for prices. If you have a complaint they actually call you to sort it out.Brilliant.
For prices i use www.find-dvd.co.uk,then click onto DVDs or Cd's and it will find best prices on net.Great little search-engine,cant fault it.Try it and see.Never had any problems with any of the retailers it lists.

I think amazon is the best online retailer for cd's, dvd's and so on ...... They offer discounts on pre-orders as well and fast delivery .Whereas on e-bay you dont really wanna buy someone elses cd's or dvd's and you dont know for sure they are decent until you get it.With play.com ive had many problems with lateness or even the wrong goods. So your best bet is amazon.

I think that www.play.com is the best online retailer because the delivery is free and the prices are cheaper than every other online retailer that I have looked at.

I like Amazon, mainly because of the customer reviews, so that I can see honest appraisals of what I want to buy from other consumers, not from professional critics whose loyalties may lie elsewhere. Also, they don't overcharge for shipping, like I've seen some do.

Well it depends on what you are trying to get for instance. If you want to just buy a few CD's then do walmart or barnes and noble if you are looking to build a large library joining a club like BMG is the way to go. there are a variety of places at. http://www.gethsemenerose.com/Music.htm
or http://www.gethsemenerose.com/Movies.htm (great disney link at the bottom of this page)

Because you have used the word 'mucked' I'm going to assume you are British; if so then I always used to use the following sites, both of which were very reliable:

www.play.com
www.cd-wow.com

I've ordered quite a few items from Amazon, and even one from their Marketplace. Everything has come within the time they estimated, and the ease of ordering can't be beat.
