can a 16 yr old female lose 37-40 pounds and not have loose hanging flabby skin ? how about 40-50?

is this a good way to- eating healthy with an hr of dance everyday 4x a week an hr to an hr and a half of lotte berk/callanetics and then 3x a week 45mins to an hr of lotte berk/callanetics plus a walk 3x a week and horse back riding 3-4x a week

yes, you are young enough to still have elastic skin. Just focus on losing weight slowly and giving your body time to adjust. When you get the stretch marks and sagging is from gaining/losing weight too fast. I am older than you and have lost 50 pounds over a year and I don't have loose skin, but I do need to probably lose about 30 more pounds. Aim for 1-2 pounds a week and do walking and weight lifting.

You asked so many questions in one.. Dancing an hour a day for 4X a week.. YES> that would be considered good exercise.

Flabby skin. This is a problem with some... that is the TONING problem. Some just lose weight but do not exercise in order to what they call TONE-ing. To lose 40 or so pounds will result in sagging skin and that is why you MUST exercise in order to reduce that sagging skin.

As you are still young your skin's elasticity will still be good. As you are losing this weight you definitely will have to do some regular toning exercise to tone the skin back into shape. You should visit the local gym and ask for advice there. If you can afford a personal trainer then that would be even better,

Also don't over do the exercise regime gradually build up your stamina or you may give up before you have even started,

Hi My daughter and I both had our stomach stapled, she was 14 and i was 37 we both lost about the same amount of weight. I had to have surgery to get rid of loose skin, but because she was under 20 she toned up nicely. Try and have fish about 5 times a week, this also helps. Good Luck with everything, I know how hard dieting is and you will do great.

Yes, in fact it would be easier to lose without sagging the younger you are. As a 16 year old you would still have good elasticity in your skin. Also if you go on a diet where the weight comes off slowly, you will find that your skin sagging will not be a problem. Slow weight loss is safer for your health anyways.

good exercising yes..but if someone is that overweight that they loose that much flabby skin is an issue.
