I know it is unjust and goes against everything our country is about, but seriously people, it is such a solid plan to stop them from blowing us up! I mean they hate us already, so why not go all the way you know?

I know it is ethicly injust, and goes against everything America is founded on, but i think it would save alot of lives in the long run. I also know that it would stir up alot of crap and make us look like even bigger jerks, but I think when it comes down to things, it IS an option and one that should a be considered by our leaders. I know you all are going to tear me a new one about this haha but I have spent 18 months of my young life in Iraq being shot at and I know first hand how bad things can get. And I know that if you spent just one second over there you would hate muslim extreemist also. And getting them out of the USA would sound very logical to you.

The problem is, beyond being an ammoral idea, is that such a plan never works. It would be costly, innaccurate and not really help the situation (as it didn't help in WWII with the Japanese). If the terrorists want to do something they will find someone who just denies he's Muslim (since Muslims are of all nationalities, races, colors).

This idea is as good as banning box cutters after 9/11. Box cutters were not the problem. WE need to fight the idea not the people- what is causing the radical Muslims to want to kill us? That's the real problem.

During WWII, the US decided that the only way to keep safe was to round up all the Japanese people into prison camps. Looking back at it, is seems like there had to be a better way. But I'll be damned if I know what it is.

I think the majority of Muslims in the US are good people. Maybe my line of thinking will get me blown up by someone I thought was my friend. Or Maybe my friendship will cause some radical thinking muslim to change his mind. Who knows? But I don't think it's your place to decide who stays and who goes. I think the only thing we can do is go on with our lives and not let a select few individuals change the way we view an entire religion.

Wow, over 50 responses to your question so far already. You really know how to hit a nerve.

I would never condemn someone as others have here just for asking a question. I recognize that your question contains doubt. That shows me you are thinking as well as feeling. Others may be struggling as you are for a solution to these very serious and difficult problems. I don't think anyone really has the answer or the problem would have been solved by now.

Many rail against the internment of Japanese American citizens during World War II but heap praise on FDR who ordered their internment. Very few know the background of John McCloy, assistant secretary of war who was the one who made the decision to intern them in the first place. McCloy was also a prominent figure in the decision to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Perhaps reading these stories can help you in your searching for answers. After all, your idea is not far removed from one who many consider to be one of the greatest statesmen in history.
Read what his thoughts were and see how they match up with yours.

Kai Bird published a book entitled, "The Chairman", about his life.
He was a former attorney for the most prestigious law firm in the nation, Cravath, Swaine and Moore, still in existence. It was also the law firm of J.P. Morgan. McCloy was the attorney for the Rockefeller's, and Chairman of the Chase Bank, the Rockefeller bank. He was chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, and of the Rockefeller Foundation. During his tenure as High Commissioner of Germany he ordered the release of several accused war profiteers who were among the wealthiest men in the world. When he died Richard Nixon, Helmut Schmidt, and James Baker attended his funeral.
There are a lot of good questions to ask. It's only when we don't ask them that we headed for more serious problems.

Actually, with 9/11 taking place and all of the worldwide muslim terrorism taking place, it is really surprising that EVERYONE does not think the same thing, i.e. "ship'em OUT!"

The human RAGE that is building toward muslims is worldwide; virtually everywhere in the world, that there is TROUBLE, it IS islamic fanaticism that is causing the violence, bloodshed and terror.
There does not seem to be a logical answer, and that always invokes FEAR in humans. Fear invokes over-reaction.

The fact of the matter is, Extremism against muslims WILL start happening ----- if the muslim community ITSELF does NOT rise up and quell this fanaticism.

Actual, IMMEDIATE deportation of KNOWN terrorists and their families, exiling of those that espouse HATE, and serious prison time for those caught planning terrorist acts might be much more productive.

OK man , i am a Muslim who lives in Egypt . u Americans have a wrong ideas about Muslims & Arabes . the reason is the mass media at your country which teach u how to hate other religions .
u -americans- looks at us with a great hatred & racial.
this is the policy of your president George Push who want to be a president for the the longest possiple time . he wins the elections by scaring Americans from the terrorism which comes from muslim countries & threaten the safe of U.S . so most of American believe him & he wins although he is a liar . he has a scenario to win at the coming elections . he will say that the CIA has successed in making an terroristic plan fail . At any case , he is a big liar . For example, he lied about the mass destructive weopons in Iraq & went to this muslim country to steal its oil .
another example , he presents all the power for Israil to kill the palasinian & lebanon citizens under the name of fighting terrorism but in fact they commits many war crimes against
armless people . those war crimes appears on all the media exept the American ones cause they don't want u -Americans- to know about their terrible behavoir .
Finally , i can say that u r a decieved nation by your leaders who mislead u & plant hatred in your hearts. if u don't wake up from your sleeping , it's better for u to forget your current state as the leaders of world

Deporting all Muslims would not stop terrorism in the U.S..
The reason for this is that almost all of the terrorism is actually committed by the government.
I know this will be very hard for you to believe after you have seen so many newspaper articles, and so much TV telling you otherwise.

It is quite a complex subject, and too long for a detailed answer here.
If you would like to know the truth, with substantial evidence to prove it, then contact me privately.

I believe that you are completely wrong to believe that Muslims are responsible for terrorism.

Sorry bunkie the terrorist are muslim that religion is in every race every culture . The terrorist pretends to be a christian and gets right by your mass exodus idea and we still won't be safe in fact we will have become as bad as the nazi's anybody different from judeo/Christians gets there rights taken away and forced to give up there citizenship whether born here or not. Such idea's only serve the terrorist cause. They point to your idea and say we are oppressors and in this case rightly so.

The thing is, terrorists don't want to harm us just because of Muslims living in America. They have been living here for a long long time. As of 9-11, people all the sudden see it as a problem. Deporting them will do more harm than good. To stop terrorism, we need to stop living like Americans, that's what they are after, our way of life.

Yes - it is very wrong to feel that way. It also means someone has succeeded with you to put fear into you and allow more civil rights to get cut. If all people in America would feel like you then Orwells "big brother" regime would become reality.

It would also be the end of the great US constitution and the end of civilization. We would be not much different from other extremists countries and dictatorships.
Americans should not allow their great country to get stained in that way.

Besides - it is completely impractical and will not help a bit against terrorism, I mean really - do you believe what you are writing?

Well, the thing is if things keep going like they are, if more and more Muslims in the US start doing things like they are doing in England [blowing things up], then it might come to such a pass. I hope not, but if there ever is a massive terrorist attack on the US using WMD, I would not be able to vouchsafe their safety in the US.

If things keep going down this path, there may eventually be a grand world war between civilization and radical Islam. And that will be very ugly.

So, teach your children how to use firearms and how to be a survivor. They will need to be prepared.
