my comp wont let me change my background...instead its just a solid color...i have win xp...do anyone know why that is?

virus.....That happen to me twice...

assuming system restore is on -- you can goto START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESERIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - SYSTEM RESTORE.. that (may) solve your problem for the time being -
if you don't have a firewall or know what one is you should get one going (especially if your poking around online) I use "Zonealarm" and like it pretty well (and it's free)

you should also get some spyware programs and run em once in awhile --

adaware - spybot - and hijackthis are good free ones ...

worstcase is you'de have to reinstall windows-- kind of a pain but sometimes nesesarry -

You have to right click the bg, and it'll say Properties, and click that, then desktop.

reinstall it. This is only the solution. I hav also same problem. Now its rectified.
