Sweetheart, please do not worry about losing weight right now, you are only 12 and your body is still growing., I am sure there is nothing wrong with you, I hate for you to live your life worrying about your weight, it is not a fun thing to do. Just simply enjoy the fact that you actually have food and you are not starving like some kids your age in Africa and other countries that are just not doing well. Live your life each day like you may not be here tomorrow, and if that includes eating well, then do it. I do understand the concept of eating healthy, it is a good thing to do. Maybe stay away from sodas, candy bars, ice cream, too much sugar, donuts, pastries, etc.. but....you are a kid, you are supposed to be eating ice cream and candy bars, I would just limit it. I am sure you get plenty of exercise, that is the key. go rollerskating, jogging, try the track team, basketball, soccer, softball, any of those, juts get active. But....you have nothing to worry about, your weight from your other question tells me that you are a perfectly normal little girl that may be going through puberty and changing. You don't need to lose 5 pounds. Please don't worry about these things because it will just give you an eating disorder when you are older if you don't already have one now. Please talk to your mom about this and your doctor, I think you are too worried about this, your mom will understand because this weight loss thing and unhappiness with our bodies is common to all women. Welcome to our world, you are just coming in a little early. I do think it is a good idea to want good eating habits, do that, but don't obsess over weight, 5 pounds is not noticeable.

EASY.. only 5 pounds? I could do that standing on my head. No.. really.. EXERCISE is a key to losing weight let alone redukcing medicinal problems, etc

Make sure you walk(at minimum) a couple of miles a day if you do not go to a gym.. If you go to a gym, then work out on the trreadmill, stationary bicycle, etc for 20 or so minutes at least 5 times a week. AND of course,,,,,,, coming to the BAD part.. cut out greasy things like French fries, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Ice creams, cakes, cookies, bread and go to lean meats, such as chicken breasts, fish and lots of fruits(except grapes) and vegetables (except peas).. There is no better and healthier way to LOSE

If you run 30 minutes a day you should lose it in a week or two (depending on your height and weight to begin with)

Don't buy the sodapop! Drink water with all meals. And skip fast food eateries! Unless they have the alternative foods, like salad, milk with vitamin A and D. Don't bother with the salad dressing. Taste the food as it was meant to be tasted.

Eat less, maybe jog for a few minutes in the morning, and cut back on carbs.
