I am happy to be British and I am not scared of being called a racist because I acknowledge that British society is multicultural and I am pleased about it. Diversity is a great thing, that's what makes me proud to be British.

Yes, but I'd say English - why could that be racist? Certainly a better country than most; why else would half the world want to live here, and british culture is great - not prone to boasting, stoic, self-deprecating, courageous, self-critical - we need to stop all these stupid liberals with all this racism nonsense; it's often just a negotiating toy for preferential treatment of ethnic minorities, but the minorities are often massively racist themselves. More than anything, I wish people would shut up about offending muslims - for christs sake, they're 2.7% of the UK population; If they've got a problem with the UK culture, they should do one to somewhere they feel more at home.

I see nothing wrong in being proud to be British and Welsh. I am.
Anyone who wants to start bringing up reasons why I shouldn't be had better come from background and country that has never done anything wrong because otherwise I will just expose their hypocrisy.
Larry - go **** yourself. Where do you come from BTW? America? Oh don't get me fuckin started . . .
Massacre of native American indians mean anything to you??

If the "royal" family is any indication, the British don't have much to feel proud about. Plus, the nation had an international looting and killing spree for centuries, in the name of Empire.

I takes a pretty shallow person to be proud of something that they had absolutely no control over, and then for that something to be as trivial as the geographic boundaries in which they were born tell me that you need to GET A LIFE.
