I am so stressed over buying a home I dont know what to do? I have only been doing it for a couple of months but the past few weeks I have been getting nothing but migraines from this off again on again process. The Brokerage company only seems to be dealing with this one bank and they are so lazy with debating my wants and needs. I know that I am nothing but a number and a new pair of shoes for most of these people but there has to be a better way than this. I have given them every piece of information except my DNA and they still dont seem to be satified, I have been trying to close for over a month and they say one thing but draw a contract for another, please help; what should I do???

If you are not happy with your lender, then fire them. Don't let them think that they are in control. There are many mortage brokers out there that will work their butt off for you...you just have to find them.

What does your Realtor say about this? Your Realtor should have some ability to assit you in this matter

"trying to close for a month" sounds like you have had difficulties qualifying for the amount of the sale.
Usually, a closing goes through 20-45 days after you sign the contract. You may want to check to see if the contract you signed for the house is still valid. Failure to qualify cancels the contract and the buyers may not be willing to wait.
Definitely call some other mortgage companies, large and small, and see what they say about your finances. Also review your credit report.
Have you considered lowering the loan amount and looking for another house?
Good luck...

I am a Mtg Broker. The amount of paperwork depends on the type of loan you are getting. The one thing you need to remember is that if the Broker only works with one lender they probably have some type of deal set up. You have the right to choose any lender you want. The only thing you need to remember is some sellers will give a discount based on using their "preferred lenders". If there is not discount I would look into another lender if this one is giving you the run around.

When buying a house it is a good idea to have a real estate lawyer. They are the ones to take care of dealing with the brokerage company on specifics. It is a long process but well worth it sooo....... Be patient

i bought a house a year ago and i'll tell ya its not easy. luckily we had a wonderful real estate lady and she made the process a little less painful. i think the biggest thing that helped us out also was that we called our bank first and got preapproved first then we started looking in our price range. save the pains for the writer's cramp you'll get when signing all those papers at closing.

Calm down, yes. Now, you can find another lender - you may to start all over, but it's a huge purchase and you deserve to take care of yourself, and your money.

it took me nearly a year to go through the whole process, and it was horrible, after a million lies and documents it finally worked out in the end, and it is worth the effort.
Really when it comes down to it, when they say junp u say how high, if it is important to you that is.
