sounds like little braxon hicks, or whatever theyre called.

Pain around the abdomen that feels like pressure or cramping is generally false labor, real labor contractions tend to start in your lower back, and work their way around to your belly.

Also, its perfectly normal for you to have different aches and pains as your pregnancy winds down. The weight of the baby, the hormonal changes in your body, and on set of false labor, your thinning cervix and dialation.. all these things result in pressure and pain and discomfort.

Just stay active, walk around as much as you can, mop your floors with a rag, it helps the baby position.

If the pain is occurring in regular intervals, it may be labor starting...you're 37 weeks so you're officially full-term by medical standards...try changing positions. If you're standing up, sit down or lie down. If you're sitting, try taking a short walk. If the pain doesn't really go away, then it very well could be the beginning of labor. But if it pretty much subsides with change in position, it's probably just Braxton-Hicks. Also consider whether or not you've had Braxton-Hicks contractions earlier on in your pregnancy. I had them from about the 4th month on, so they were very common for me. However, my water broke at 35 weeks and that's when I had the baby...so you can never be too sure! Call your doctor or midwife if you're still concerned. It won't hurt and they expect you to call whenever you're worried about something. Best wishes for you and your soon-arriving little one! :-)

It could be what's called back labor which is most often false labor but if the pains come and go more often and extend to around the front of your belly I would say that you are in the start of labor. Call your dr to be sure that's what they get paid for!

It could be the beginnings of labor. I had the same thing about a week before my son was born. I took about 15 hot baths a day because that was the only thing that relieved it. and it would only relieve it for about 20 minutes at a time! Good Luck!

Yes could definately be labor. Keep tracking the time spans. If the pain starts getting closer together and stronger you may want to start packing a bag:) Good Luck

Could be the beginning of labor -- could be your muscles stretching or straining because of the baby. Good Luck!

Yes it could be...I would call your doctor or midwife just to let them know what stage you are at. They might just want to see you and you never know..a couple hours from now, your little one would be here
