The principal should be setting an example for the students and faculty. Unless part of his job requires him to arrive at school after the start of school, he should be held accountable to the superintendent and school board for consistent behavior.

Yes it is. A principal should be punctual. It shows that he is not discipline enough. And also unfair to the students who came late and get demerits.
