Wow. First of all, we're about the same age and pursing the same degree. I just started school last year and I have dealt with the same age issues concerning school too. It bothers me all the time but I try to put it out my head and I say go for it.
The sooner you do it the sooner you get it over with so get in school this fall if you can.
In the long run you'll make and command more money with a bachelors degree than without one. So it's an investment in your future, and you don't have to take 3 1/2 years to finish, you can take summer and winter session classes in addition to taking more than the minimum amount of credits a semester. I've been shaving alot of time off my degree this way. So it won't even take you til 29 to graduate if you're will to sacrifice the extra time.

Of course you're not too old! At 29 you will bring more life experience and stability to your career than you would have at 22. Only you know in your heart if you would be happy in the blue collar job and it doesn't really sound like you would be. You only get one life and you really do have to just go for the things you want. Look to the future -you can be under 30 with a good education and your future wide open or you can be 30 in a dead end job you don't really want - it's all up to you! Good luck!!

After reading, I'm convinced that you know you are not too old and that it is not too late. But you are having second thoughts because of your boyfriend's presence. Obviously, by the time he is your age, he will have had his degree and maybe started a graduate. I totally understand you.
But not to worry, hon. It is OK. Don't make the mistake of choosing to go ahead with life and then someday you realise it is best to return to get the degree (which is very likely to happen). I know firsthand that that choice will be tedious and straining and will require you maintaining a very delicate balance.
Just go ahead now and get it done with. I wish you the very best.
This is my advice, decide what you do wisely.
Good luck!

If it helps at all, I knew a few people that were over 25 when I was in college. Some of them were returning to school and some were just starting college for the first time. If you aren't content where you are right now, then you should go for your degree. Good luck!!

Of course it's not too late.
I went to University for 2 years then took 5 years off. Returned when I was 26 and stayed to complete my BS and MS. Going back to school was a great decision. Before I was teaching people who made more than me how to do their jobs. That just sucked.
So go back.

You might be hearing this a lot, but ur never too old to get a degree. I'm older than u and I'm only in the process of getting my Associate's. My mom didn't get her degree until she was in her mid to late thirties... It doesnt matter how old u are. Just go for it.

too old. never too old. it will be to late if you never go and get a degree. I work in human resources and see people in their 50's and 60's going back to school all the time. My advice is go and if it takes you 3.5 yrs or 7 yrs it will only better job options.

I am getting my accounting degree in about a year, and I am much older than you. You have lots of productive years ahead of you, especially when your education is in a field that uses your mind more than your body. You will be able to use your knowledge well into your old age.

no no no!!!!! it totally isn't too late. omg, i'm still working on mine, my husband is still working on his and we're 24 and 22 respectively.
life happens, and for us we got married and are both working full time. it's hard to devote all the energy we should to school, but it can and must be done.
just keep working at it. age does NOT matter. just get it under your belt. you'll have such a sense of accomplishment.
good luck. =)
