Realtytrac.com will let you veiw them for a monthly fee. They are published by law in several local newpapers, and Title companies and county recorders have them.

My mom has been going real estate loans for 25 years, and she told me this a long time ago, " I know foreclosures exist, but I have never personally known anyone who bought one". It seems the bank will sell defaulted homes through realtors to minimize loss, and owners will get bombarded with investors who know they are in foreclosure. The investors sometimes offer $10,000 in cash to get you to hand over ownership and move outl. They then bring your home loan current and get a new loan.

You can also look at bank websites where they have homes they took back, but they have minimal inventory and you wont get a very good deal.
