Because he is a Scientologist.Plus he has been behaving strangely over the last 2 or 3 years in tv interviews.

He is cute and everything but his latest movies have been less than appealing.( Vanilla Sky, War of the Worlds, Minority Report). He is somewhat eccentric as well but no more than most other celebrities. Also, I think the whole Scientology thing makes him less believable to some people. He is also very conceited and opinionated. He seems superficial in some of his interviews.

I've never thought Cruise could really act. And...when I heard him eplaining how women should be this way and that way during pregnancy, I almost threw up. He's very arrogant.

many people feel that he's become undone with his whole scientology thing. he's taken it to the next level, he's become very judgmental. a good example was his comments about brooke shields. she had postpartum depression and went on medication and he bashed her for it and then said a bunch of junk about how scientology says if she does this or that she wouldn't be depressed....blah blah blah. basically it was really mean. can you imagine what he would've said to katie holmes if she got post partum?

In my opinion...
He's obsessive, posessive, manipulative, aggressive.
He refuses to accept that other people are entitled to their own opinions. He pushes his beliefs onto others.
I've seen him interviewed and when scientology was mentioned, he became very forceful, rude and aggressive.
He also seems to be really full of himself. The exterior appearance means nothing when you're a pain in the ***.

He's arrogant and thinks that everyone should listen to only what he has to say. Just because someone's attractive doesn't make them an automatically wonderful person.

Because he is acting like a freak. I don't see anything "hot" about him. Sometimes peoples actions can make even an "attractive" person "unattractive".
