I think it's kind of minor. I moved a big bag of dog food yesterday and now my lower back, SI joint area, is stiff and sore. Is it better to keep moving or to rest it today?

Rest it .... I have had my back cut on twice from "pushing through the pain".

You should move slow.
Dont lift anything heavy for a few weeks
apply some icyhot if you pulled ur muscle.

it takes a while to be back to normal
and it hurts a LOT!
But hang in there
and get well!

You must keep moving, take frequent breaks, and just don't strain in any way. Keep things simple.
