Sound waves are affected by the density of the gas they are travelling in - the denser the air, the faster the sound will travel. The normal gas to carry sound waves from speech is air, which is a mixture of mainly nitrogen (80%) and oxygen (20%).

So if we breathe any gas with a density different than air, and then speak, our voice sound waves will be travelling faster or slower than air and will sound different.

But as pointed out above, not all gases are safe to breathe.

So your answer is no, helium is not the only gas that will alter our voice.

No, it is not the only one. Other noble gases can have an effect on you voice. The density of the gas determine the change in the voice. Low density like He gives a higher voice. High density would give a lower voice.

Remember to take several breaths of air between each breath of any gas like He. The compressed He has not O2 mixed with it and you can suffocate - or at least pass out if you don't breath air to get O2 to your brain.

No. Any gas that has a different weight than that of air will make your voice sound different. It will be higher or lower, depending on whether the gas is lighter or heavier.

Be Careful though, anything you breathe can cause asphyxiation because you are not getting air when you are breathing those gases, and plenty are toxic too.

Helium is way less dense then air. This makes your voice sound humorous. yet dont' only sniff it for no reason (: additionally if the gas you inhale is greater dense then air, your voice could be decrease

I think it's the only gas that's safe to inhale and that makes your voice sound funny. Hydrogen gas would probably do it, too, but I wouldn't inhale it!

Try the following combination (measures are approximate) to get the funniest sound of all:

Nitrogen (N2) 780,840 ppmv (78.084%)
Oxygen (O2) 209,460 ppmv (20.946%)
Argon (Ar) 9,340 ppmv (0.9340%)
Carbon dioxide (CO2) 381 ppmv
Neon (Ne) 18.18 ppmv
Helium (He) 5.24 ppmv
Methane (CH4) 1.745 ppmv
Krypton (Kr) 1.14 ppmv
Hydrogen (H2) 0.55 ppmv

hydrogen will work too, though I'm not so sure you want to be breathing in hydrogen, especially if there's an open flame nearby...
