another is to take IT courses in college.
or you could do the vendor route and go for CISSP certification
CISSP is certified information systems security professional.
cryptology is one of the 10 areas of cbk (common body of knowledge) in the CISSP certification.
you can always, after working on the CISSP. specialize in cryptology.
otherwise, the military is the most prevalent user of such technologies.

You may have to contatc your nearest university to find out as i beleive it to be a uni course that requires a prerequisite of a ancient history diploma as well.

Not entirely sure , you may need to check up on that.

call the CIA or NSA and ask them. They should be able to give you an idea of what course of study you would need.
