Usually you will not be able to tell if you are pregnant after just two weeks. Home tests are not that sensitive. You can either wait around for about another 2 week, and then take a test, or head on over to your doc and get a blood test which would be able to tell you now.

You can try. Usually 2 weeks after a possible conception is when a period would be. So surelt you could try and find out now. Just make sure its a test that can detect pregnancy early (some claim it on the box). To be safe, take another one in 2 weeks, just for peace of mind. Getting on birth control should help regulate your periods, and help prevent pregnancy if you aren't ready for a child.

It cant detect it until you have missed a period. Its not until your body releases the HGC hormone to stop your period that the tests can pick up on a pregnancy.

Your best bet is to have blood work done, because it can detect the human growth hormone weeks before a home urine test.

You will have to request it, as most doctors offices will do a urine test and tell you youre not pregnant. You'll have to tell them to take blood and do the blood test so you can know for sure.
