i have always used buscopan.. it helps against cramps but any other painkiller might be good just to help at the moment. apart from that if nothing else helps you need to be in bed wrapped in a warm blanket, have some cushion on your belly drink warm tea and try to relax and sleep.. so i would ask for the day off if it is that bad.. on longer terms i would go see my gyno and ask if i could maybe change some hormonal things... i started taking another anti-baby-pill and since i take that i never had any cramps at all anymore...

Pamprin, with orange juice or hot chocolate.
Grab some therma heat patches for your stomach and hope for the best since at work.
If you were home, pamprin or midol, with hot chocolate or orange juice, a heating pad/blanket and curl up in bed on your side with a good book or movie.

ok, that happened a lot to me, but, i have good news:
it only last about 8 hours or so (the sickness)
if you want never to feel sick again you should get some pills, contraceptive pills, because they regulate your period and next time it will come practically pain-free, and bother-free. Trust me.

I take Tylenol. If you don't feel good go home. There is no use to do your job 1/2 of what you usually can.
