The best thing to do would be to slaughter a pig and leave the carcass in plain view. That way no one would suspect the blood is human, they'll just assume the source of all the blood is the dead pig.

Considering there's only about 7 pints or so of blood in a human body.. that's quite an alarming amount. You'll need to take the curtains down and soak them in cold water.. not hot as that would set the protein in blood. Next you'll need to source a decent stain remover. I assume from your question that dry cleaning is out of the question *shifty eyes* Perhaps you can then soak the curtains in the stain remover and water.. or according to the instructions on the back of the pack. Good luck.. and find a cleaner hobby.

I'd call the cops, they're great blood stain removers. Of course they might arrest you but they'll clean the blood off the walls, floors, curtains and furniture. However you won't be able to see the results for a few years

Well, the better question is how did all that blood get there. But, to answer YOUR question, you can dissolve the curtains in Lye. Just buy the lye at your local supermarket and fill a bathtub up with water and pour the whole bottle in.

Burn the curtains. No, don't do that...Take the curtains and put it in your car. Then drive like 62 miles away from your house and throw the curtains into somebody's backyard. It'll work well.

Or you can call the police and say "Help! Someone spilled their blood on my curtains!"

It is not easy but..... Pre-soak in cold or warm water water at least 30 minutes. If stain remains, soak in lukewarm ammonia water (3 Tbs. per Gallon of water). Rinse. If stain remains, work in detergent and wash, using bleach safe for fabric.

and... if fresh, may be removed by washing in cold water. If hard and dry steep for a few hours in cold water, to which add a pinch of baking soda. Washing and bleaching will finish the process. Never put blood stains in hot water

First of all, I would be very interested and disturbed at how gallons of blood got on your curtains (meat packing plants don't use curtains), However, if you have that much blood on your curtains, throw them away and buy new ones.

Get rid of the curtains. Buy new ones. Shame on you if you're trying to cover up a crime. With todays technology you will not be able to hide the blood.

Do you have a bathtub or are you close to a large body of water?

Any clothes you were wearing at the time has to go into the bonfire as well.
