If you should have gotten an A in higher biology but only got a B, there is no reason to believe that you cannot get an A in advanced biology. You would be wasting your time re-taking higher biology and would find it very boring. Take the advanced course. You'll do fine.

Pull up your socks. Take the advanced higher biology knowing that you could have done better in the previous course. Make sure you STUDY for this class so that you can get an A. If you got a B, you're not going to fail the next class. But be prepared to work hard to get a decent mark.

What do you ultimately want to study in college? Medicine? Nursing? If you plan on a career in a field that will need higher level biologies, you should take the course that will help you learn the most, not get you a higher grade.

I always thought a B was a fairly good grade. I had a 3.5 when I graduated high school and was happy with that. I got a couple scholarships and was in the top fourth of my class. My only downfall was math beyond the basics.
If you feel the need to push yourself then you already know the answer... I would just take the B and "B" done with it.
Have a great day!!!

What do you want to pursue? That should be the reason you ask such questions. If the career you want requires higher learning in biology, then by all means take it and do your best.

what you have to do is to stay by your self and , ask yourself this question:
Do i like this biology or not , Do i need to get more in it, is it ganna be useful for my advanced study or not ?

after answering these question you will tell and make your mind about it .
to me i want you to get advanced lesson , because i love that , i am a pharmacy student and do love biology .
