I'm Canadian, so I don't know how much my opinion matters in the long run, but everything I've seen of Bush and his decision making abilities scares me. I wouldn't want him to run the PTA, never mind the USA. Whomever fills the role of president should be someone who inspires confidence, someone who you could believe is capable, even if you don't agree with his politics. Bush doesn't strike me as that kind of person. The man can't even get through a simple speech without screwing up for goodness sake! The American image around the world wasn't all that great to begin with, but Bush threw it completely out the window. And he claims to be protecting the American people while at the same time he systematically eliminates the very freedoms that brought in people around the world, wanting to be american. The American people are not children, to be protected for "their own good". That kind of protection you can do without.
As for the republican party, I am not impressed. I know as individuals there are lots of really good, caring people who are Republicans, but as a group they come across as close-minded, intolerant bigots who think their way is the only possible choice. I've also noted that when someone disagrees with them, instead of agreeing to disagree, they go directly to personal attacks. Its the truly insecure who can't handle healthy debate and have a deep seated need to have everyone agree with them. Its really kinda sad.....
P.S. - Hi Tough!

Most of my friends are successful, well educated and well read, active, charitable, religious Republicans. Most of them started life in very ordinary circumstances and made it on their own by hard work. The retired ones typically volunteer at hospitals, musuems, and charitable organizations. Many of them lived through the Great Depression, WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. They have had good marriages and successful children and grandchildren. They say that they usually vote a straight ticket and they like and respect President Bush. They have no use for Bill and Hillary Clinton, and not much for Al Gore or John Kerry.

The party is the best choice around. Not so sure I'd say I like it, but it is the lesser of the 2 evils.
The President is a good man and a decent leader. His downfall is that he is not as articulate as the past 3 Presidents before him. People judge him to be a bafoon based on slips of the tongue. I've experienced much worse leadership that received higher respect simply due to a good speacking manor. Sad, but true.

Republicans disgust me. They are liars and manipulators. Dividers. Fear mongers. Smiling when they talk about war and grinning when they tell their lies and distort their record. Trying to impose their hateful morals on the rest of the world, they're nothing but the Taliban reborn. Have you seen their platform? Have you listened to their speeches? These warmongers? These liars? Unless President Bush stops covering up for Saudi Arabia and using terrorists to bolster American policy, the War on Terrorism is a sick joke !!!

I am a liberal democrat, pro military, anti war,pro choice, anti abortion, anti religion in government, pro immigration ,but totally against illegal entry and totally against amnesty........what do you think I think of the administration and republicans?...One can be liberal and share some conservative views but you cant be con and share any liberal views ,its not in the republican hand book...One can only get out the vote at the mid term elections to make the balance in Congress a little less one sided and change leadership of our country in 2008.

I consider myself a Southern Democrat, but my friends accuse me of being a Republican...LMAO!! I would say I am like Zell Miller who was the Democrat who supported George Bush for his re-election.

Like ALL parties they aren't perfect.
But I'm glad They were in power when 9/11 took place. I'm thinking Al Gore would have handed Osama a dozen roses and said were sorry we offended you, And new Yorkers would be singing Kumbaya around the smoldering ashes of the WTC.
