I am considering a career in real estate as a salesperson or agent. Before I take a course for this, I was hoping to talk to one so I can get their take on this job and what it's like, etc. Does anyone know someone that can help? Thanks!

I watched my brother take the course and join a local real estate office. It's been over four months and he still doesn't have his first listing, but he is determined. I would advise you to look at your local economy and detremine yourself if this is a business that is booming in your area or if it's starting to slack off. We live in Michigan. It seems that our real estate is now in a buyers market and that means that there is a lot of real estate for sale and lots of competition. Good luck. Also make sure that you are a go getter. Be prepared to put in long days, make cold calls, and find your cusomers. It's like owning your own business. You have to generate your clientele.

Hi..I am a Realtor here in California and I would love to talk to you about this wonderful career. It has its ups and downs like any business. You get out of it what you put in. After you get your license, you need a mentor to walk you through the process of growing your business. Dont spend a ton of money on all the crap that the salesmen of the world will throw at you. You just need a mentor to show you the ropes so you can hit the ground running. I am also hiring agents anywhere in the US and Canada. I offer the best commission split, residual income, and retirement. We have offices nationwide, so your location is not a problem. Visit my website and click on careers. I will be more than happy to talk to you anytime that is convenient to you. Take care and I wish you the best, and I hope to talk to soon. Patrick
