**Why do a lot of guys insist on being shy? Especially when you know that they aren't?
Because it is easier than defending yourself against harassment
and possible abuse charges.
Most guys if left to their own devices would actually at times
prefer the knock them senseless and proceed with what you want.That kind of stuff is not allowed, and is punished if you are caught.Somewhat shy and slow is better.

Do you know what social anxiety is? Try looking that up. Some guys just tense up because they want to come off as being attractive but don't know what to say. If that ever happens, the best think you can do is take charge. Lead the conversation, make first moves, and hope that he eventually loosens up.

I don't think it is fair that you assume you know them that well. I am very outgoing and social but when I first meet someone I am painfully shy about talking to them, at first everyone assumes I am not friendly - for me it takes a while to warm up to someone.
If you are talking about romance - maybe they are not being shy maybe they are just being careful not to send you signals when they are not interested in you romantically.

Do they do that? I didn't know they did that. They usally just fart when they want fart, burp when they want burp and say what they want to say when they want to say it.
