Yes, but only if you truly understand the nature of "trust" and your expectations are not based on the "being in love with love" romance which afflicts teenage girls and goes on to ruin their live because it fosters expectations and precludes any growth toward realistic understanding of "trust". Long term, consistent behavior is the strongest basis for trust and "read my lips" the weakest. If our lips are moving, we're lying, that you can trust.Another huge mistake is the "..but ourselves" part of your question. We don't like to see ourselves as we really so we quite easily go into denial and deceive ourselves right along with everyone else The comprehensive answer to your question is a book all by itself.

Some people feel they can't even trust themselves EX: not to spend money when they say they won't, or mot to tell something to another person they said they wouldn't tell. I think everyone has something about them you can trust you just have to feel them out and if it doesn't seen right to tell them something important then don't. If you feel you have to get it off your chest or just need to talk and don't think you have anyone to do that with start a diary, that may help.

I trust one other person and he trusts me. But I miss him a lot because I moved away from him and everything that I knew, but he's still the love of my life.

Life will be so lonely if you don't trust others. That doesn't mean you become naive but stepping out and trusting is so needed in relationships of all kinds.

Yes.
It takes a long time for me to trust someone, but a few people have proven to me that there are trustworthy folks out there. I also learned that to build trust, you have to give it, even if you don't want to.
Give it a try. They might break your trust, but who knows? They might prove you wrong!

I trust my parents and my husband completely. Friends not so much. I have been burned too many times with gossip and petty crap. I have friends don't get me wrong but I don't trust them completely.
