well i am 27 and was until recently dating a 47 year old man different ages slightly to your situation i know but an age gap still. we both thought the world of each other and his daughter was fine wth it we all got on great!! Alot of his friends thought it wasnt right but he just explained how he felt about me and gently pointed out that surley if they were true friends they would be happy that he was happy!! (I must point out tha i also knew these people before we got together) Eventualy they came round and were pleased for us both that we had found happiness with each other. We went on holiday to eurodisney and there were a few problems we had to overcome like the porter outting my bags in the twin room with his 16 year old daughter not in the double with him and the waitress asking"Is it two kids meals for your daughters sir" which upset me but i had to get over it they didnt know me or him and it was none of their business..
if you truly have serious feelings for this girl then go for it as long as you and your daughters are ok with the situation and you are all happy. good luck and i hope it all goes welll for you. dont listen to what anyone else says do what you think is right only you know what makes you happy!!!

Nothing wrong with it. She's an adult and so are you. Will it work? Every relationship has potential issues that need to be addressed and worked out. Age difference can be a big one, but if you guys have a handle on it then there is no problem. Don't be too quick to give up on a good thing. Neither of you are doing anything wrong. (And probably doing a whole lot right!)

No, not at all.

If the relationship is serious, there's a lot to work out. When you're 66 and she's 41, how will she feel about the relationship. When she's 51, she may well be a widow. Are you ready to have more children? She will probably want one or two.

It can work, but you'll have to work on all these issues all the time.

Look into the future on this one....20 years from now you'll be 66 and she'll be 41.......this big of an age difference could become a major problem years from now. She is young enough to be your daughter....are you sure you're not just infatuated because a young woman is interested? I dated a guy once who married a 20 year junior just because he felt good having her on his arm. But he soon found out they had nothing in common!

If it feels right for both of you .. you both know where you stand and you both feel the same way then go for it .. life is way too short to worry about other peoples judgements....

Obviously there IS a big gap that may cause issues down the line but if you both want this and are prepared to work at it, talk through your problems and deal with them as they arise you have nothing to lose.

I wouldnt say this "relationship" is wrong because you are both legal, consenting adults BUT you are both at completely different stages of life.

She will just be finishing education or starting a career where as you are middle aged and have had a "career" for years. She will want to go out and enjoy life with her friends where as you will prefer cosy nights in.

Its not wrong but you are at different stages of life so it wouldnt be fair to hold her back. It sound harsh but thats the way I see it.

My only concern, is that you say you both feel like it is weird. There is something wrong with it, if you both feel weird about it!

I am a 42 year old guy who has finally met the "ONE" for me and she is 22, but never in my days would I say it made either of us feel it was weird! We have recently started planning our wedding, so all is going well.

If it is other people who are making you feel weird, then confrnont them, or just laugh at them. After all, it is they who are being narrow minded and weird.

i met my partner when i was 20 and he was 38 (he is a single dad aswell). we seemed to click immediately despite the age gap. we were also worried about the ade difference but we gave it a go. we are getting married next month having been together for five years. i'm not saying it's easy but it can work if you try hard enough. good luck

If you get on, you get on but be ready for negativity, especially from her family!
I would make sure it's truly what you want before you do anything, and weigh up if it really is worth the trouble! My friends father is 61 and her step-mum 28, and they have been married over 10 years and never argue, so it can work!
Good luck

Age is numbers. Love is the ultimate thing. As long as u can perform all the duties required by a man , there shouldnt be a problem
