I found a website devoted to scam baiting and it seems a great sport. Has anyone tried it, or been a victim?

OMG I couldn't get thru the first site from laughing my *** off!
I once got a check from one of those nigerian money dudes and after he sent the check I told him that my daddy didn't think it was a good idea to be taking money from strangers, and I was fresh out of checks to write, so he'd have to wait two months until I got more checks in.
He was MAD.
Ofcourse, the cheque was fraudulent and came back after clearing. I'd covered my *** by notifying the authorities and making a police report about it, too.
My favorites to bait, though, are good-ol-American wankers.
I've reported non-adult-profiles which have penis pics to Yahoo pretending to be a 12 year old (haha!).
Once I caught this guy soliciting who was dumb enough to post his nude pics on his company website (he was a computer techie I guess).... I made sure that his boss found out ALL about it.
Another time this craigslist dude was dumb enough to respond to a pretend ad, linking to pictures, which the root site of was his blog. His blog happened to be brags about taking naked pictures of women he'd met without them knowing it. No model release? No 2257 notice or records? I reported him to a government agency as a concerned citizen concerned that one of the women was under age and that he was therefore posting child porn. What a dumbass- I hope that he gets sued for all he's worth.
Boredom and being a little bit POed can lead to alot of amusement sometimes!

I have done it. It is fun to do but you need to be careful. I used episodes from the TV show M*A*S*H to come up with the characters and pictures from Ab Fab when I sent the jerk off pictures. It was a blast...I blogged it all at http://baiter.blogspot.com/. I am trying to sucker anotherone into wasting their time. Better them spend their time with me than a victim.

My friends Dad did it. He was asked to cash a $10,000 check and give the money to a company in Canada which would then give him half of the money.

I can't say it is something I would ever get involved in, however, what these people do is appalling and so if people have time to piss them off and waste their time then all to the good.
