1. It is not becoming flatter, it is simply flatter. The "flatness" is actually disappearing.

The earth's rotaion is behing the event. Imagine a water-filled balloon, spinning slowly. You will notice your ballon is flatter where you are making it spin (the "poles").

Furthermore, the earth's rotaion is getting slower. Going back to the ballon, the less it spins, the more "rounded"it becomes. Same effect. on the earth.

2. A regular hydrogen atom (protium) has no neutron because the proton is all by itself, with no other protons with it. It does not need another particle to keep the nucleus stable. So most of the time, neutrons do not appear in hydrogen

Earth appear flatter at the poles because of centerfutal force. As earth self rotates, the inertia of the matter tends to stay at the where they are going straight but they were pulled back by the gravity. Further away from the axis of the rotation has greater the force acted on it. The pole area is right at the axial of the self rotation and therefore matters at or near the pole did not have much force acting on it. So therefore it becomes more flat.

I don't know why there is no neutron. Hydrogen is the first element and that's how nature creates it.

The earth is spinning around its axis at a speed of about 1106 mile or so per hour .So the centrifugal force will hav a tremendous push on the sides (i.e) th ematr around the axis of rotation will have a tnhedency to fly away from the center. so the sides bulge outside and this draws te mater at the poles towards the center of the earth. this causes the poles to flaten.
The hydrogen atoms were not created by the Big Bang .the matter that came into being was creatd by teh interaction of thefree electorns and protons in the space . The basic elemetn that formed of the this two particles of energy was Hydrogen. nuteon does not hav any electric chage in it and it is required to keep together two particles of similar or same charge which would normally repel each other. Proton being a particle of positive charge would repel another proton if itwere present or added to an atom of hydrogen .Nutron being a particle of no charge when present near the positive proton aqires a negative charge and sticks to it and then it is easy for anoither proton to stick to it to remain inthe center of the atom of an element . Thus nutron acts like a glue and does not have a charge of its own. when the atom of one element changes into that of another one by aquiring additional protons and an equal number of electrons , it requires nutron to hold the protons together in the center of the atom .

The Earth is a slightly flattened sphere because of the Earth's rotation. Underneath the Earth's crust, you have molten rock which can flow (even if a lot slower than water). Just like on a merry-go-round, rotation causes mass to flow away from the axis of rotation.

Since the equator is further away from the Earth's rotational axis than the area near the poles, the centripetal acceleration of mass near the equator is greater near the equator, resulting in a slightly oblate sphere.

As slight as it is, there is more mass near the equator than can be accounted for given the Earth's current speed of rotation. That means the Earth used to rotate faster than it does now.

The reason for the slowing is attributed to the effect the Moon has on the ocean tides (and to much, much, less effect, on the molten surface underneath the crust). The Moon and Earth have both changed their rotation rates, and the distance between the two objects, until the Moon always shows just one face to the Earth.

There's a secondary effect from the Earth's oblateness being too great for its current rotation speed. The Earth's mass is slowly redistributed to match the Earth's rotational speed. Hence your continental plates tend to drift away from the equator as the Earth slowly becomes just a little bit more spherical. The drifting of the continental plates cause volcanoes and earthquakes.

Edit: The PH Value's science teacher gave an answer that had some truth to it, but it missed the mark on the big point. Redistribution of mass towards the higher latitudes doesn't always occur at a steady rate. SHORT TERM, the rate of the mass's movement can change. The earthquake that spawned the tsunami in Indonesia fairly recently reduced the Earth's oblateness much faster than usual. Global warming has caused a slowing in the rate of decrease of the Earth's oblateness and even a short term spike that increased the Earth's oblateness just slightly (change in sea level is much less significant than the redistribution of mass below the sea). Long term, the trend is always for the Earth's oblateness to decrease.

Second Edit: The more I think about 'The PH Value's answer, the more it bothers me. It's one thing to show how global warming can have significant effects on the Earth, but this particular example has the unintended effect of making the average person dumber because presenting the example properly would dilute the intended message - that global warming has significant effects.

Global warming has caused the ice capes to melt and add up to the water reserves in the equitorial waters. As you have mentioned, the circular motion causes the seas to bulge out and the poles to appear flatter.
The normal variety doesn't contain neutron because it doesn't need them. Neutron is required to bound many equal charged protons together. But there is only one proton in H. So no need.

the shape of the earth is due to the earths internal gravitational field...In fact this cant b explained with any known theory and may b the most possible reason is the redistribution in the oceanic drift current and the variation of the tectonic plates...Well, idont think its due to earth's rotation...and if u do think it that way...kindly explain me as well..via e-mail.....
secondly, the possible reason foer hydrogen atom not having a neutron is that it was the first element the was formed post BIG BANG and also the lightest..However the isotopes of hydrogen...both dueterium and tritium have one and two neutrons respectively....This even possibly explains y the oldest stars mainly consist of hydrogen while newer stars have other elements as well

only protium isotope of hydrogen doesn't have neutron.deuterium isotope has one and tritium isotope has two
well the same reason why it was flat to start with.i have answered the second part of your question first
