GERMANY, FRANCE, OR ENGLAND
I LOVE ALL THREE.
BUT ENGLAND HAD BAD LUCK AND A BAD MANAGER.
GERMANY ALSO HAD REALLY BAD LUCK.
AND FRANCE, PROBABLY THE WORST LUCK.
I CRIED THREE TIMES THIS WORLD CUP, AS I SAW EACH OF THESE TEAMS ELIMINATED. IT IS HEARTBREAKING!!!!!

I seriously doubt Mexico could have won. If Borgetti had been aware enough to move his head out of the way, Riquelme's corner kick would still have gone in the goal via Crespo's leg (which did touch the ball anyway, watch the videos). Mexico played well, but not well enough to beat Argentina; you just neutralized them for a while.
My preferences:
1. Argentina
2. Italy/Brazil (one is my neighbor and one is the home of my grandma's family)
3. France, because pre-headbutt Zidane rocked.

Portugal were the most shameful disgusting childish cheats in the entire tournament. They didn't even deserve to get as far as they did. FIFA allowing them to get away with such disgraceful antics has shown the way for a whole new generation of kids to spoil what was once a beautiful game to watch.
I just got home from a recent trip to Italy where the kids on the beach were practicing how to roll across an outstreched leg and go down feigning fouls. Is this the psort you want to watch?!?
In answer to the question, I think Australia were one of the only teams to show comradeship, courage and honour, and play well above their ability through hard work and determination, well unified by a brilliant coach in Hiddink. They were one of the few teams not to try and fake fouls and never gave in, that is the real spirit of football.

brazil or france..i was torn apart when they played against each other..i was extremely happy for france when they won the game but at the same time was very sad for brazil as well..and i just couldn't sleep after that..when zidane was shown the red card in the final my heart crushed..and when trezeguet missed that crucial pk my eyes were in tears..i had a feeling it was over..

Brazil or Portugal. Either one would be great because they both have strong and talented players.
