both men and children are the best at the selective hearing thing. Whisper all the time this works for me with my partner- you can tell he has heard as he has a wicked smile on his face. so you can continue with the conversation!

This is called selective hearing. They only hear what they want to hear...or not supposed to hear. I really don't know of any medical reason, so I think it makes sense. Lets face it, haven't you learned to just tune some people right out because you get sick of listening to them???

Pay atention to the signs

1) Hard of hearing from a distance or cannot hear

2). He shouts

See a doctor. He is a professional and can give you an answer.

I think majority of children suffer from this. It is selective hearing.

easy, just start saying things he will want to hear face to face, like would you like this 20 pound note, or a party, or playstation, if he can hear you after several tries.... nut him..

yeah i've come across this one too it's called selective deafness AKA known as ignorance very popular with teens :P

He's a kid, thats why.

get used to it, becase they never grow out of that stage.
