IN terms of photo printers, Epson is very much in industry leader. Most offer a 5 cartridge printing system with relatively high capacity cartridges. ON higher end photo printers you can actually do a negative scan to print new photo's from previously developed negatives, or print directly onto CD or DVD making labeling a snap.

HP and use their top of the line paper, archive quality pictures for 75 years. HP cost more than the cheap lexmarks and Epsons but the quality and ease is worth it. I printed 100 Christmas cards without 1 flaw. I have a 7950 i think, I,m at work.

Any good brand that is listed as a photo printer will do. I have had very good luck with HP using the new ink they developed. To get the best quality you need a photo ink cartridge.

Get the hp all in one HP photo smart 3310.
It's a printer, copier, scanner, print photos and has a fax.
