I must add that, am not a music freak..I just want to learn some instrument as a hobby and for time-pass.

I never played an instrument before in my life and at 25 I started playing 4 instruments in the same year. Now I am 29 and I can play all of them decently. You are never too old to learn anything! I knew a guy who was in his 80's when he started to learn the mandolin, and he was an excellent player. As with anything, it takes time and dedication. If you are willing to put in the time to practice you can be a pretty good player in a couple of years. Go for it!

No not at all. I started playing when I was 18. Some people pick it up faster than others. So don't get discouraged when you are just starting out. If you can afford it I recommend getting guitar lessons they seemed to help me more than those books you buy can. Good luck 2 ya and rock on.

I don't think you're too old. I was 23 when I started piano. You just have to be patient because as an adult beginner you KNOW what it's supposed to sound like and it will be a while before you get there. Go for it and I wish you the best.

No! I started learning when I was 10, but I have a friend that is in her mid-thirties that just got a guitar. Old dogs can still learn new tricks (you're not old though, you're younger than me!).

You are never to old to learn something new. If you think about it we all learn something new everyday. If you really want to do just set you mind to it and you will do it. Good luck and let us know how your doing!!
