He's your son too....how DARE you expect her to provide the clothing out of the money you give her. YOU should provide clothing for the child at your house. What if there's an emergency and she isn't available to give you another change of clothes for the child and you have to keep him extra days. Do you expect him to wear the dirty clothes? It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY as a father to provide clothes at your house for your child.

Yes she should be providing the clothing but it is a wise choice to purchase some items that you keep at your house so there is always something for him there. Plus it may make your son feel a little more at home at your place knowing he has his own special sets of clothing at your place also if there is something she sends him to you in that doesnt suite your plans for the weekend or for his visit then you will atleast have an alternative..Trust me it isnt worth the arguing just because she wants to make things rough just go pick him up a few odds and ends to hold him for his visits..Good Luck

Shoot just go to Walmart and by some clothes. Kids clothes are cheap....keep the clothes at ur house. It would make it easier when he comes. He won't have to pack a bag. Look around you can get some good cheap deals!

Your child support is what a court has ordered you to pay for the kid's upbringing; anything above that is between you and your ex.
If she's asking for clothes, tell her that you already paid her to get them - if she says the $$ isn't for clothes, then tell her to get a judge to lower the $$ amount and you'll spend the difference on clothes for the kid.

She should buy most of his clothes, yes, but if you have joint custody and he spends time at your house on a regular basis, you should have some clothes and pajamas there for him. If she won't send over enough clothing for him while he's at your house, you're going to need to provide it.

This is a battle you will not win. I would have some clothes for the boy at home. But I would also make sure that they did not go home with him, because you will never see them again.

She's in charge of his wardrobe when he's with her, you're in charge when he's with you. Just pick up a few outfits to have on hand at your place and make sure you don't send them back when the visit is over.
