My husband does not finish things. Like the leaky faucet(3 years), the bathroom that still has no floor, or shower (11 months) and the children's swing set that still has no slide (4 years) I am afraid of handy men b/c of that one girls in Utah that was kidnapped by a handy man or worker at the home and can't afford a professional. What do? P.S. I am not complaining b/c my hubby works a lot of hours on the job

I have the same issue with my husband (although mine is just lazy or not that handy)
I have been asking around to friends and family if they know how to do any of my projects that need to get done.
My nephew has come over and fixed my faucet! I gave him 10 bucks and he tried to refuse it!! (wouldn't let him, though!) Much cheaper than a handyman (and safer).
Now if I can find someone I know that does roofing.....

Why not go to the library and get some "do it yourself" books or take some of those classes that Home Dept/Lowe's offers.
