Why does it seem all the american football players are getting fatter?

It's not all fat. Look at their heights too. It's common to see linemen in the draft going about 6-foot-6 or taller.
There's such a premium put on weight, though, that I'm sure that plays some psychological role in these guys packing on some pounds.

I do think you're starting to see that tide turn a bit, though, as you're seeing more defensive ends weighing in at 275 or less. As that goes, I think you'll see offensive tackles start to slim down a bit to keep pace with them, and on and on.
That's a good thing, too, because guys that size (especially blacks) are diabetes cases waiting to happen.

Just in general people are getting bigger, taller, and wider. They done a survey about it. The average size of a person in the 1800's were smaller. Think about it. But I do agree with you. I thought baseball is the worse though. Over grown fat men running around the bases it seems funny.

lol because they dont train during the off season they just eat and lay on the couch until training camp starts
