they both are strikers, so both play up front, defoe has played the odd time down the right, but that is only due in injuries at club level

i think peter crouch is suitable player to play as alone striker..
n craig bellamy to supporting him to get ball and make cover..
defoe i think is good striker..
to me.. defoe have ability to play both side,right or left..

Liverpool uaully uses one forward, so he plays dead center. Even you notice two forwards on the field, the second forward plays right behind him.
