Try a cold compress. Close your eyes and cover them with a cold washcloth for about five minutes. Repeat several times throughout the day. That will help constrict your blood vessels, minimizing darkness, and it may help minimize tissue swelling and eliminate some of the darkness.

Hide 'em. More opaque than foundation makeup, cream concealer is made to order for under-eye darkness. Select a cream concealer that's a little lighter than your skin when wearing it under foundation (or the same shade as your skin when wearing the concealer alone). "Paint" the concealer with a small brush into the dark areas. Then take your pinky finger and very lightly pat the edges to blend it in. Finally, powder lightly to help the concealer stay put.

Spread on the sunscreen. Use a sunscreen especially made for the face with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15, but preferably 20, all day every day, to keep the sun's rays from darkening the skin under your eyes.

Supplement your foundation. Some foundation makeups contain SPFs of 6 or 8. For full protection you'll still need either a moisturizer or a sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 15.

Eye cream: The newest option. If your circles persist, try an opaque eye cream such as Lancome's Expressive.

Alpha hydroxy acids, used in many newer eye creams decrease wrinkles and lighten and smooth the skin. The most common alpha hydroxy acids are glycolic acids (extracts derived from fruit and other plants). Other new eye creams that look promising include Renova and the cosmetic Cellex-C eye contour cream or gel (a topical vitamin C).

These are some easy tips

1....Drink at least ten glasses of water everyday.
2....Dark Circles under eye are generally due to a lack of sleep, fatigue, stress, deficiency or some disease. Take all precautions to avoid strain on the eyes.
3....Remove the cream applied around the eye after 10 min. No cream should be left on the skin around the eyes for long periods.
4....Rub the area with a powdered Vitamin E capsule
5....Put hot and cold clothes alternatively under eyes for 10 minutes. Then apply some almond oil on the dark surface before going to bed.
6....The acupressure point for eyes is on the mount below the index finger of your palms. Pressing this mount may help.
7....Eat vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin A.
8....Dip cotton balls in rose water or cold water and keep under the eyes for 10 minutes.
9....Try chamomile tea bags cooled over eyes.

Concealer is the best, some lines have special products... maybe your eyeliner isn't all the way gone, take off your makeup at night with Neutrogena's Eye Makeup Remover. But it's always good to drink a lot of water and get a full night's sleep, I think teens need about 8-9 hours... But I don't think I get that... I should start...

Potatoes? ...LOL...

There is an all-natural, Aloe Vera based skincare line on the market today that is considered one of the best-kept secrets in skincare!

Aloette carries an eye treatment called Advanced Eye Recovery that will work wonders on your dark circles. My mother, who is 71 years old, has had dark circles (and sagging) and absolutely swears by this products. If it works for her, chances are excellent it will work for you!

What's so special about Advanced Eye Recovery? First of all, since it's aloe-vera based, it will penetrate the deepest layer of your skin cells instead of "sitting on top of your skin". Second, Advanced Eye Recovery contains an active purified peptide complex. Clinical tests show these peptides exert a positive effect on certain properties of blood to improve oxygen supply to the delicate tissue around the eye - the result is a dramatic reduction in dark circles and puffiness around the eye!

I hope this helps - if I can be of further assistance to you and/or if you'd like to get started erasing those dark circles today, please feel free to email me at chocol8prncs@yahoo.com!

Take care, and remember - LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE!

Have adequate sleep (at least 8 hrs). Also drink plenty of water because dehydration will cause sunken eyeballs.
You can also try an eye cream..there are many out there to choose from. I use a channel one (its $55) and I love it, I saw a difference in 2 days.

Dip cotton pads in fig juice, rosewater, or cold milk. Lie down with your feet raised higher than your head, then place the wet pads on your closed eyes. Stay that way for 10 minutes.

try chamomile tea.(manzanilla - spanish version) make it exactly you would hot tea without adding the sugar. then cool it off with a couple of ices. take small cotton balls or pads and dip them in the tea and then place them on your eyes. they actually take care of the few things. they take care of any puffing you might have around the eyes, they get rid of the morning scrapping you might have around your eyes, also if you have leftover mascara, its a natural way of getting off of your lashes and it cool off and area around the eyes.

chamoile tea (manzanilla - spanish version)is also very good hot for stomach cramps that women get once a month. it will relax your stomach. it is also very good to drink after you ate a heavy meal.
