No, nothing hidden, on the contrary, you are probably the type who is able to make your life decisions based upon informed choices from a broad range of sources. You don't need to fill your head with glue, stuff and nonsense that the herding majority do when they watch soap operas and the like. Continue to retain your individuality, follow your quest for knowledge and remain above those who are asleep.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with you. Soaps are so fake, I mean really all the thing sthat happen to these people and of course the are all rich and never work, the lay with each others spouse or signifacant others. I just feel the give new meaning to boob tube, you will become a boob if you watch to many of these. However, some people just can't live with out them, I guess that is how they see life or maybe they wish their lives were like that. I prefer the news, travel channel, history channel and a good drama now & then.

I agree. Why not watch sport if you want drama, instead of a bunch of crap actors trying to act out some "realistic" scene that has to be watered down because it's toooo scary for pre-watershed.

The news can be a little depressing especially with all the murder (from both sides) that's going on in the Middle East at the moment.

Documentaries are the best, I like the 'How it's made' ones, you always learn something.

Well there is nothing wrong with wanting to be stimulated mentally by news etc. But you may want to try and chill in front of a soap one day, you may find it's a refreshing experience! Makes real life all the more acceptable!

Why do you make it so difficult for youself? Soaps you only have to watch once a month to keep up-to-date. News you have to watch all the time !

The only soap that matters is the soap in the bathroom!

Soaps are nothing but depressing. It's no wonder the country is a sad place when millions of people tune in to watch people fighting and shouting at each over for 30 mins.

They are crap basically, many of the producers like to say they are a representation of real life, but nothing could be further from the truth, one only has to look at the Uk ones, how many illegal immigrants feature to begin with, in East Enders, how many are of ethnic origins, only a few...how many drug addicts, benefit cheats, grafitti artists. When there is some story that does relate to real life, such as domestic violence, they portray it well but then get complaints! Thats only scratching the surface...

Soaps are depressing for the greater part... but some are good, at times.

All depends on hte mood doesn't it.

also, Documentaries are very good, they are stimulating and educational meaning that they are worth watching... in your eyes at least.

No.. the news and docs is the only things I ever turn on the tv, as I'm a total news junkie... Most TV kills good conversation in my opinion... but then again...so does Yahoo Answers...
