I guess it all depends on where you live. My mother operates her own licensed family daycare from the home. She charges the provincial guideline rate and that works well for her. She is always full and has a waiting list too. Maybe contact the local Childcare office re rates?

It depends on what sanity is worth to you. Ha! Ha! It also depends on the cost of living in the area that you live in. It might pay to call some of the local day cares and see what their rates are. In home day cares are usually a little cheaper.

I would interview other home daycares to find out what their going rate is.
