Everyone loses, but the nation that gets their way 'wins'. In relation to the Israel/Hezbollah conflict, as of right now Hezbollah is winning. If Hezbollah is succesfully disarmed (which I doubt will properly happen) Israel will have a small victory. However, we don't know what the original reason behind Hezbollah's kidnapping of the two soldiers was supposed to accompish. It has been speculated that it was staged to draw away the Gaza incursions, which was successful.
