Yes very much, and he is being very respectful by asking your mother. He is doing that because getting to be with you would be very important to him, so he wants to go about it the right and proper way (so you will like him too.)

Speaking from experience, a guy doesn't typically open doors for you or take you out unless he has an interest in you. So I would say, yes, he does. I don't think he would express an interest in taking you out to your mom if he didn't like you.

Well, to me it sounds like he's giving you mixed signals. He either deeply admires you as a friend, or yes, wants to get a bit further in the relationship. Firstly, you have to ask yourself do you like him, or is your ego merely flattered by the fact that he might like you? That's most important here. Then, to find out, you can do 3 things: 1. plant hints to make him reveal it, 2. ask him about straight out, 3. wait for him to admit it himself. I doubt that he's doing this because he's horny, but I would recommend 2. if you find that you like him as well. Hope I helped. Good luck.

First off, how old are the two of you? I, no matter your answer, am leaning towards, yeah, he does like you, but beware. He may genuinely want to spend time with you but he could be hoping for more.
