Sometimes people close their eyes when they are trying to remember something. If they are being interviewed, they may be trying to recall the details of the answer they have just been asked to provide. OR, the lights from the camera could be too bright.

That happens in real life too. And I can't determine the reason either. But I know a man that just cannot look at you when he speaks to you. He will look at you when you are speaking, and every time he says anything his eyes divert to the right and up at the cieling.

there must be lots of reasons why they close there eyes..try to use your common sense so that you know why?

probably they are shy.
could be that ,they want to focus on what is being said and
no distructions.
others were brought up like that also.
again some are blind.
