In the long run I don't think there will be any great changes. There are a lot more effects more wide screen and consumers have bigger TVs that are HD. So movies are a higher picture quality but are they are overall higher quality. No they are still the same. there are the great movies and there are the bad ones.
As for the industry getting more money I don't know. Yes DVD are a lot cheaper and faster to produce then VHS. But then they are also Cheaper and faster for a consumer to produce and steal then buy. So in the end no big change.

there'll be a lot less to verify on from. in the previous, song labels might want to take disadvantages on an rather good type of bands and verify out to promote them and want that one catches on. for this reason, they have an rather good type of losers inspite of the undeniable fact that the single winner can make up for it. Now, with piracy, there is no longer the willingness to take opportunities. American Idol is the end results of this. they have an rather good type of human beings attempt for the area, make funds on the alternative and already have the opinion polls. the actual difficulty right that's that the mainstream song will grow to be even tighter. record labels gained't gained't to bypass some distance from what's at present like by technique of the overall public. the overall public will like mainstream because it really is all they are going to listen. i wager if I loved 'pop' song, then i'd be at liberty with the problem.
