my nose in a different room of the house. Now, I am afflicted with horrible allergies & I'm a constant blower. I feel rude getting up all the time to go somewhere else to blow & I don't want to miss out on what our guests are talking about. Somebody help.

I'm an allergy sufferer also - I just don't blow loudly; I might have a tissue at my nose more frequently, but loud blowing can be of-putting to guests.

If you need to really clear it out, excuse yourself, but in mixed company, just squeeze the nostrils and dab - it's more discreet (especially in conversation).

Your husband is an insensitive jerk; even if his point was valid, he could be more understanding or at least use a little tact.

Well if I was one of your guest I would find it more rude if you blew your nose in front of me. I always go to another room to do that. Also, over the nose of blowing your nose...you couldn't hear what the guest were saying anyways...so you would still miss out.

I would compromise. Like sticking around if it's just small blows, and if you really feel the need to blow strongly, to then leave the room at that time.

..but it might be a really good idea to invest in some sort of air filter like an Ionic breeze, you seem that you really could benefit from it.

1. Go to the doctor.
2. Get a prescription for Allegra.
3. Profit.

He has a point there!! It makes funny sounds and guests may not like that. Rather than cursing your nose, why dont you get treated for this allergy? Atleast to control your sneeze???

Just blow it there, he won't make a fuss whilst the guests are there. If you need to deal with him after threaten to take away all sexual favours unless he gets over it

you cant help your allergies and if you take remedies already there is nothing really you can do,but leave the room? not likely,,your friends will understand and if new company comes, make your appologies at the first wipe and let it be,if they dont like it tough but what can you do,really.you are in your own home and where else can you do it.

This is a joke, correct? Of course you would leave the room to blow your nose. I suppose you are also one of those people who sit it a restauraunt and blow your nose at the table while others are trying to eat! Ewwww!!!

Don't have guests over too much.

Try to silence your nose blowing.
