Check out http://www.pen-pals.net/ they have many diffirent sites to help you get penfriends. You can opt for overseas friends and can communicate either via email or snail mail.

Umm, depends on if you are an old fashioned annoyance like me and want a REAL penfriend, the kind that writes using snail mail, or if you are a high tech guru and want an internet penfriend. Whatever the case, use a search engine but specify snail mail or email.
BTW, there was this great site I found when I was like "I want a penfriend!" It's called the Former Soviet Penfriends association, or something like that. I am terribly sorry I don't know their name!!
